Energy Psychology (EP) is a family of evidence-supported modalities that balance, restore and enhance human functioning by combining imaginal exposure with somatic stimulation and cognitive restructuring. EP modalities include Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT), Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT), Heart Assisted Therapy (HAT), and ETC. While each modality is different, they share a commonality in recognizing and working with the human subtle energy system.
While Energy Psychology is relatively new, there are numerous studies ((LINK)) documenting the efficacy of these modalities. I have the privilege of serving as the chairman of the research committee for the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP), www.energypsych.org.
ACEP is an international nonprofit organization of mental health professionals and energy health practitioners who are dedicated to:
- alleviating anxiety, addictions, depression, stress and trauma
- enhancing human performance in sports, music, the arts and business
- supporting the health, development and well-being of individuals and society
- increasing dialogue, understanding and healing throughout our world.
